Wound Care Management Department
Wound Management is dedicated to the provision of state-of-the-art outpatient wound care. Statistics show a tremendous need for wound care treatment. Wounds can be the result of diabetes, circulatory problems, and many other conditions. A variety of clinical treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, debridement, compression, negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, cellular and tissue products, and dressings are utilized. Each patient receives a comprehensive examination including medical and wound history to provide a holistic plan of care individualized for each patient. Our Wound Management team consists of Certified Wound Specialist physicians and staff who specialize in the care of wounds.
The hospital-based wound clinic at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is staffed by Dr. Stephen Bergquist, Medical Director, and Dr. Osayawe Odeh. This location utilizes hyperbaric oxygen therapy when it is appropriate.
